Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic expert by experience to join our Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF) training team. KUF is a three day multiagency training for working with difficulties often conceptualised as 'personality disorder'. The successful candidate will have lived experience of such difficulties, and will have completed both the three day awareness level training and the KUF 'train the trainer' programme.

This is a bank position, and all training dates will agreed with the staff member, however it is expected that the successful candidate will commit to the delivery of at least two cohorts per year.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the post are:

  • Co-facilitation of the KUF three day multiagency training, either online or face to face (delivered within the Humber NHS Teaching Foundation Trust geographical boundaries), alongside an expert by profession
  • Contribute to routine collection of evaluation and outcome data
  • Participation in KUF team meetings and supervision groups

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience - Lived experience of recovery from distress understood as 'personality disorder' or complex emotional needs
  • Lived experience as the carer/direct supporter of an individual with distress understood as 'personality disorder' OR professional experience in this area

  • Experience of utilising one's lived experience perspectives and insights in a strategic leadership role
  • Involvement in service redesign and development.
  • Liaising and working with colleagues from other disciplines.
