Job summary
The Humber Adult Autism Diagnostic Service (HAADS) is expanding and is seeking a confident and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the multi-disciplinary team consisting of clinicians from Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Psychology.
HAADS works with adults living in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire to provide high quality autism assessments and works closely with charitable and carefully chosen private healthcare providers.
If you are a motivated individual, with experience of working with neurodivergent people, including autism and ADHD, or have specialist experience of working within the Mental Health and/or Learning Disability services, please contact us to discuss the details of the post.
Additional training and support is available for developing autism and ADHD diagnostic assessment skills, dependent upon previous clinical experience.
The opportunity for further career development following the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) course may also be available as the service develops.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for: -
Effectively contributing to multidisciplinary autism assessments; working with other professionals, to provide a holistic assessment for the patient.
Gather and analyse information from various sources throughout the assessment process
Carrying out face to face and digital assessment with patients and carers/family members.
Support patients through the assessment process and the eventual outcome of the assessment
Providing personalised recommendations and intervention following the autism and / or ADHD assessment process
Contribute to the service development, including providing training to other services
Provide post assessment intervention as required and as indicated in the patient's post-assessment support session
Writing specialist detailed reports following the assessment process
Providing clinical supervision to other colleagues within the team
