Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed, and forward-thinkingCreative Therapist Professional Lead (art, drama, music or play therapist)to join a growing and innovative team who work with Under 18-year-olds within CAMHS & Neurodevelopmental Services in Humber NHS Foundation Trust. This post is permanent and full time. The CAMH & Neurodevelopmental teams are a skilled multi-disciplinary team who work with children and young people with mental health needs and neurodevelopmental conditions .

Your clinical work will be based within the Hull Core CAMHS team, however supervision of staff will be across all of CAMHS.

As a drama therapist, music therapist or art therapist you must be a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). As a play therapist you must be registered with PT UK or BACP.

The clinician joining the team will be an active team player, supporting the wider needs of this team and be a contributor to innovative practice. You will provide professional leadership to the other creative therapist and work with the Head of AHP to drive change and look at workforce gaps and development within the organisation. You will also be able to travel independently.

Main duties of the job

Accountable for the co-ordination of the Creative Therapies in CAMHS & Neurodevelopmental Services. To provide the clinical lead/manager with maintaining service evaluation data.

To be responsible for provide clinical supervision and support to a team of creative therapists, ensuring that legal requirements, registration and affiliation to either BACP or HCPC are up to date, BACP/HCPC Codes of Practice are adhered to.

To provide creative therapy for children/young people in Hull Core CAMHS

Accountable for the professional leadership of high quality allied health professional services to clients

Responsible for resolving professional issues across the area of responsibility including professional pathways, networks and ensuring appropriate structures and systems for regular structured clinical professional supervision of qualified therapy staff.

Responsible for ensuring partnership working with operational managers and other colleagues.

Responsible for demonstrating advanced clinical and professional leadership skills in practice and providing support and advice across the profession across all the Trust services regarding professional practice.

Responsible for providing high-level strategic advice and input regarding professional services, wider service development, delivery and co-ordination of the highest quality care in collaboration with service users, carers, staff, managers and other agencies (as appropriate).
