Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to the position of Specialist physiotherapist in the Pocklington community Team to cover a fixed term of 12 months. The community therapy team provides care for those who require rehabilitation for a range of medical and surgical conditions. Including other neurological conditions and palliative/ end of life care within the locality. You will work within a multidisciplinary team supported by experienced therapists, nurses and therapy assistants. The post will support the therapy team in covering rehabilitation beds at times, as well as community therapy, and intermediate care in patients own homes.
Main duties of the job
You will be confident to manage your own caseload, without direct supervision, as you will be responsible for delivering highly specialist assessments and treatment. We expect that you will provide support and clinical supervision to less experienced colleagues. Within the team, you will work closely with the Nursing, physiotherapy and General practice colleagues and social care.
The successful applicant should have effective communication and team working skills. You must be a qualified physiotherapist with experience of multidisciplinary / multi agency working. You will have a commitment and passion for high quality patient care and promoting physiotherapy within the Trust. You will have the drive and enthusiasm to be involved with service development and continued professional development.
