As part of the many exciting developments within Humber CAMHS, we are excited to advertise for a new CAMHS Inpatient Services Manager for our inpatient unit 'Inspire'.
We are looking for an inspirational leader to lead and support the operational management of this new unit. As an experienced leader you will responsible for the delivery of care and support staff to achieve high quality standards of care.
Located on Walker Street in Hull, 'Inspire' is a new multi-million pound mental health inpatient unit for young people from Hull, the East Riding and North and North-East Lincolnshire.
The service has 13 beds in total. Nine beds are for general adolescent admissions and four are PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) beds. The inpatient unit is equipped and staffed to treat young people struggling with a wide range of mental health issues such as depression, severe anxiety and psychosis.
The post-holder will be part of the Senior Management Team and will work in collaboration with the CAMHS Crisis Service Manager to develop pathways for the acute needs of Young People.

Main duties of the job
- Working in partnership with the CAMHS wider Service Managers and the inpatient MDT including the medical team , Psychology ,Modern Matron, Ward Managers ,Social Worker, Nursing, and Therapy teams. The post holder will provide inspirational leadership and effective operational management across the two units Orion the General Adolescent Unit and Nova a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit based within Inspire a Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient Unit
- The post holder will be accountable to the Divisional General Manager for the day-to-day delivery of high quality CAMHS Tier 4
- Role includes close links with the Divisions Clinical Lead
- The strategic partnership with the Humber Coast and Vale Provider Collaborative.
- Continued development of a CAMHS PICU
- Introduction of an Eating Disorder Clinical Pathway
- Bringing together all component parts to ensure robust patient safety, improved patient experience, clinical outcomes, quality, and performance standards
- To ensure services are developed and provided to the highest standard, appropriate, timely, safe and supports performance against CAMHS KPI's providing feedback relevant to staff performance.
- To promote participation of service users and carers in their own care and in the planning and development of services.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
- Educated to Masters Level or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experiential learning/experience
- Detailed understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical/service/organisation e.g. Children Act; Mental Capacity Act, Health & Safety, Infection Control
- Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified service area
- Good IT skills
- Evidence of management, leadership and organisational development issues that have had a positive impact on service delivery
- Member of specialist interest group or network, locally or nationally
- Experience of successful policy implementation and change
