Job summary
We are delighted to advertise a full time band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work for the Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS) providing a psychology provision as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team and the integrated psychology hub. This is a permanent, full time post.
You will be working according to the principles of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and trauma-informed approaches. You will be part of the Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS) covering both inpatient and community mental health rehabilitation services. You will be offering formulation lead interventions to adults aged 18-65. This will include indirect and direct working with service users; training and supporting staff teams and evaluation.

Main duties of the job
- To ensure the systematic provision of a high quality clinical service to clients of the STaRS service, by being accountable in own area of responsibility and providing strong, effective professional direction, ensuring the delivery of evidence based, bespoke, tailored psychological interventions and practice.
- To be part of the MDT, offering psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to service users and their families in the Hull and East Riding area.
- To be part of a wider collective of psychologists working in the system - within the Making Every Adult Matter cohort, developing PIE and trauma informed approaches.
- To provide consultation to other stakeholders such as; CMHT's, Housing and other agencies working with our service users.
- To contribute to appropriate training, teaching and supervision of other staff and contribute to the leadership of the team.
- To manage a caseload.
- To utilise research skills by contributing to the identification, initiation and co-ordination of audit and research within the relative service area.
- To develop with the team a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) .
- To be part of the continuing development of the STaRS team
- To support and work with the ethos of collaboratively agreed care with the service user.
- To facilitate reflective practice for the team, using a compassion focussed model
- Provide consultation for referrals and assessments.
- Attend and feedback to service user MDT meetings
