Job summary
We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (mental health) to help develop and lead on support to the East Riding CORE team who are caring for young people up to the age of 18 years with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Ideally the successful candidate will have a professional qualification alongside a therapeutic qualification.
The post will be sit within the clinical core team alongside a Team Leader, Specialist Nurses/Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists and a team of Psychiatrists.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the service which will include providing clinical intervention, consultation and support in the safe management of young people within the East Riding, with conditions such as anxiety, depression, self-harm and/or suicidal intent, including complex co-morbid difficulties associated with neuro diversity.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be experienced in providing intervention/ consultation in all elements of mental health with a particular focus on trauma informed care. You will also need to have strong clinical leadership skills as you will be responsible for clinically leading/providing supervision within the team.
The role will also include multi-disciplinary liaison with wider CAMHS Services including CAMHS inpatient, CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, CAMHS Crisis and Home Intervention Team, and Children's Neuro diversity Teams.
The East Riding Core CAMHS service currently operates Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, flexibly. The successful candidate will work mainly between the hours 9-5 Monday to Friday, but could be expected to work outside of those times.
