Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to expand our mental health support teams over in Hull. We are looking for a passionate , driven enthusiastic induvial who is dedicated to supporting our children and young people's emotional wellbeing and mental Health.

The team has been fully operational since February 2022 and has made a real impact in the world of early intervention in schools and the community. The teams work directly with children and young people between the ages of 5 to 18 delivering targeted low intensity CBT informed interventions, consultation and support , whole school approaches' staff training and wellbeing.

The service has worked and continues to do so with schools , colleges and other education settings, Health social care early help and CAMHS to respond to and support CYP's social, emotional and the mental wellbeing needs.We are looking for an enthusiastic , empowering individual who has extensive experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams and supporting CYP's and families to access the right support based on need.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of Senior Practitioners and Education CBT Mental Health Practitioners to deliver a needs led therapeutic service.

The successful individual will support the service lead to develop a pioneering and innovative service to design and deliver early interventions for mild to moderate mental health problems for children, young people aged 5 - 18 and their families within education and community settings.

The Successful individual will support the service lead and commissioners (Local Authority and NHS) in contributing to the roll out of Mental Health Support Teams within Hull in-line with national policy from DHSC, DfE and NHS England and Improvement.

  • They will embed their practice experience into a multi-disciplinary team, supporting team members with advice, guidance and complex case management that do not require specialist NHS Children and Young People Mental Health Services and can be managed within Early Intervention and Targeted support. And will have key responsibility as professional Team lead within the Mental Health Support Teams ensuring that a systemic approach is deployed within the teams both in terms of practitioners working together and throughout the whole system of children and young people health, care and education services in Hull and relationships with key partners.
  • The successful individual will provide professional/ clinical and management supervision supporting members of their teams.
