Job summary
A very exciting opportunity to help shape the future of pharmacy within Children and Adolescents Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs). As part of the Neurodevelopmental team you will have the opportunity to improve and develop the pharmacy input into CAMHS Services in the community with the support of Inpatient Specialist Mental Health Pharmacists.
To provide specialist clinical pharmacy within the Neurodevelopmental Team in Hull and East Riding , to support the medicines-related care of patients, address and improve existing pathways in mental health, participate in training, education and research as required and support robust medicines optimisation across the interface.To work within clinical competence, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to provide expertise in medicines optimisation across CAMHS Services in the community.
Main duties of the job
Develop, promote and implement high quality, evidence based, and cost effective use of medicines at the interface, in a manner that maximises the benefits of medicines to patients and service users whilst minimising clinical, legal and financial risks.To participate as an active member of clinical teams in Hull and East Riding to support the safe and effective use of medicines.To provide clinical pharmacy advice on the management of patients with mental illness in order to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.To support and participate in clinical audit.
To provide education and training to primary healthcare staff, service users and carers.

- Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Equivalent knowledge and experience to a level above Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent acceptable for registration by the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in relevant area of pharmacy practice, or equivalent experience of at least two years post registration. Willing to work towards a postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in psychiatric pharmacy practice.
- Willingness to work towards qualification as an independent Non-Medical Prescriber
