Job summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead a comprehensive and innovative service. We are looking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Team Leader for our CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment Team supporting young people in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.

The CAMHS Crisis & Home Treatment Team provides a 24/7 crisis service for young people up to the age of 18 years. The team also provides a 12-week intensive intervention/home treatment offer, in-reach into the CAMHS Inspire inpatient service to promote early/safe discharge and provides support/liaison to the local acute hospital setting for young people admitted with both physical/mental health needs. It also works jointly with Hull & East Yorkshire Mind to provide a 'Safe Space' for young people experiencing mental health crisis.

The team includes Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Consultant Psychiatrist, Consultant Psychologist, Specialist/Registered Nurses/Practitioners, Nurse Associate, and Healthcare Assistants.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with proven management experience of working with teams supporting young people presenting with high risk. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills in high pressure situations, excellent communication skills and experience of working collaboratively with other agencies with regards to complex case situations.

The role will include providing management/clinical support to the team offering supervision to staff and ensuring high standards of practice. They will also participate in service development and evaluation/review.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week predominantly between the hours of 8am to 4pm Mon to Fri but must have the flexibility to work outside these hours when required. The postholder will also be required to provide clinical/management leadership alongside the two Advanced Nurse Practitioners in the team on a rota share to cover weekends and bank holidays.
