Job summary

At Whitby Community Hospital we are all about providing excellent care closer to home and have recently moved into a £13 million pound newly renovated hospital site. Situated in the beautiful coastal town on the North Yorkshire Moors the hospital offers the local community a 16 bed rehabilitation ward, Urgent Treatment Centre, District Nursing Community therapy and Specialised services.

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, organised, dynamic, proactive team leader with a 'can do' attitude / 'it is my job' approach to join our management team at the Whitby Community Hospital.

The successful post holder will lead an integrated multi-disciplinary community based hub team spanning people's physical health care needs. We work collaboratively with our community partners, Social Care, GP practices, ICS and Whitby Moors and Coast Primary Care Network.

The team leader will provide strong operational leadership to the neighbourhood care team, Urgent Treatment Centre, MSK physiotherapy, out patients, team members include; registered nurses/ District Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an exceptional, motivated professional with excellent communication and leadership skills who is able to provide strong leadership and management in order to ensure compliance of service delivery and the best health outcomes for the people in Whitby and Eskdale locality.

To succeed in this role you will need to be passionate about community healthcare provision, able to tackle key priorities with enthusiasm and have the tenacity to deliver in an ever changing environment. Though the post is predominately non-clinical the individual will need a clinical community health professional background and be able to demonstrate a track record in successfully delivering high quality care and have experience in managing teams and budgets as well as initiating and implementing changes to service delivery. You will be a key player in forging effective working relationships within your team with staff, GPs, and social care colleagues who are all an important part of our whole systems approach to service delivery.
