We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician to work in our brand new, state of the art licensed aseptic unit at Northwick Park Hospital
You will be working with an innovative friendly team which continuously strives for excellence.
The post holder will join the senior team to facilitate a high quality and responsive chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition service to internal and external patients.
This post is open to GPHC registered Pharmacy Technicians as well as Science and Manufacturing Technicians with extensive aseptic experience, You will have excellent communication and organisational skills along with a strong team spirit.
Main duties of the job
Provides specialist technical support to Lead Pharmacist Technical Services and the Lead Technician of Technical Services.
Assist in the initial and ongoing training within the aseptic department for new and existing staff members.
Train and develop the skills of staff within the department including presentation of teaching materials and sharing practical knowledge.
To manage and supervise the provision of pharmacy aseptic services especially in the provision of chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition (PN) reconstitution to all areas of the hospital as well as for external customers.
Work as part of a large manufacturing team
Assisting the Lead Technician in monitoring that all staff adhere to standard operating procedures
To act as a role model for junior members of the team and supervise as necessary.
