Job summary
We seek to recruit a motivated and dynamic Radiology Ultrasound Lead covering Ealing, Central Middlesex, Community Diagnostic Centre and Northwick Park hospitals. The successful candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Ultrasound department, working closely with the clinical Site leads within the radiology department, and the directorate management team.
Provide support and deputise as required for the Head of Diagnostic Imaging/Site leads and represent the Directorate at Trust and ICS Imaging network.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery, performance and governance for the services.
They will work with the Head of Diagnostic Imaging and Site leads to lead the Ultrasound team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality patient-centred services, service development, and change programmes that drive innovation and integration, modernisation, and high levels of staff and patient satisfaction.
Main duties of the job
Liaise with relevant staff to ensure smooth running of the Imaging service.
Day to day management of the service.
Financial and Performance reporting and delivery.
Managing Administrative & Clerical teams in the Service.
Development and implementation of Local and Trust-wide policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Lead directorate teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high- quality patient centeredservices, strategic planning, service development and change programmes driving innovation, modernisation and high levels of staff and patient satisfaction.
Responsible for providing a key leadership role in all the delivery of financial, quality, performance, productivity, and workforce targets, local and national, as agreed through the business planning, appraisal, and personal development processes.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls to assure delivery of financial management and the deployment of resources in line with the Trust's financial plan and in accordance the Trust's financial governance requirements. This will include delivering contracted activity levels and managing related pay and non-pay expenditure within agreed budgets, achieving required levels of cost.
