Job summary

An exciting position has arisen for a band 5 Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Staff Nurse from Mark's Hospital.

St. Mark's Hospital is an internationally renowned centre of excellence located within London North West University Healthcare (LNWUH) NHS Trust.This post is a great opportunity to work within this specialty and gain experience, knowledge and skillsto work towards anIBD Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) role.

The successful applicant will be part of the IBD Nursing team at St. Mark's Hospital. The nursing team works closely with the wider IBD Multi disciplinary team (MDT).

The post holder will be provided with support to develop within the specialty and role, with access to supervision, and formal and informal education provided by the IBD CNS team. Main duties of the job

The post holder is expected to provide:

Nursing care and support in the administration of treatments within the Inflammatory (IBD) bowel disease day care unit

To support the IBD Nursing team in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care delivering the biologics service, within the clinical area.

To take charge/deputise regularly of the clinical area in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility.

To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and empowers staff to develop high levels of clinical skills and autonomy.

Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
