Job summary
We have a vacancy for a motivated Assistant Radiographic Practitionerto join the team at the newly developed Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).
We will work as part of a team of State Registered Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners promoting good working practices and ensuring good quality care is given to all patients in the Radiology and x-ray and dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) department.
Main duties of the job
- To perform basic x-ray and DEXA examinations within the limits of individual modules achieved from a recognised accredited training course, and not to exceed those boundaries.
- To carry out all diagnostic procedures to the highest possible standard in line with departmental protocols and procedures.
- To report equipment faults to the supervising radiographer and take appropriate action.
- Understand and observe the principles of radiation safety and participate in theassociated QA programmes.
- To promote total quality care for patients.
