Central Middlesex Hospital, Ealing Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Respiratory Physiologist to join our team at the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust for one years maternity cover. We are based at Central Middlesex Hospital (London NW10), but also work across site at Northwick Park Hospital (Harrow) and Ealing Hospital. You would need to be flexible and be prepared to work across sites when required.

We are a small but busy team who are an integral part of the Respiratory and Sleep service, working closely with our physician colleagues to meet the needs of our patients across our hospital sites.

Main duties of the job

The role involves Respiratory diagnostics including clinic spirometry, FeNO and more complex pulmonary function, but there is also opportunity to become involved in the oxygen service.

Our sleep service involves both oximetry and polygraphy diagnostics, along with CPAP set up and trouble-shooting. We have a physiologist led remote CPAP monitoring service and you would play an active part in this.

You may be a lone worker at times and therefore expected to be able to work independently. You would need to be flexible in managing your workload, dividing your time effectively between clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Continuous professional development is encouraged.

You must have a Clinical Physiology degree or equivalent with experience at a Band 5 level. You should have AHCS registration or be working towards this.
