Job summary

A really interesting and exciting opportunity has risen for Band 6 Practitioners (Scrub Nurses) to join our friendly and dynamic theatre scrub team within Northwick Park University Hospital.

In light of the recent pandemic, the department has changed the way it provides its service to the Community. The successful candidates will have an opportunity to work in the 13 Operating Theatres within the emergency and elective Covid pathways which provides a wide range of specialties such as Gynaecology, Urology, OMFS, ENT, Dental, Trauma/Orthopaedic, Colorectal, General, Paediatric, Vascular surgery and Emergency Surgical procedures.

The job will be based in Northwick Park Hospital; however per times you will asked to work in other sites of the Trust (Central Middlesex and/or Ealing). Nights, weekends and on-call is part of this position.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for organizing and delivering nursing care in the peri-operative setting. They will lead a team of nurses and Healthcare assistants. They will work together with the specialty team leader and surgical team to develop and maintain excellence in peri-operative care.
