London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking to appoint into a substantive post in the Consultant in General Gastroenterology at London North West based at Ealing Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the LNWH NHS trust for a new consultant to work in our expanding stroke service. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic colleague to join our well-established Gastroenterology department at Ealing Hospital for the continuing delivery of high-quality patient care and to work towards ongoing service improvement.
Main duties of the job
This post is integral to the provision of the acute gastroenterology service to the Trust. Flexible working, including some evening sessions, may be required of the post-holder by mutual agreement. The post will involve delivering clinical services across the North West London Hospitals NHS Trust and sessions may be worked on any of the Trust's hospital sites, i.e. Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Ealing Hospital. The base site for Ealing Hospital , but the gastroenterology and hepatology inpatients are cared for at Central Middlesex, Northwick Park and Ealing Hospitals. Inpatient duties for this post will be at Ealing Hospital.

Outpatient services for patients with gastroenterological disorders, based on clinic template in line with the Royal College guidelines (4 new and 8 follow-ups)
Inpatient services for patients with gastroenterological disorders, potentially with special reference to hepatology patients
Inpatient management of some allocated general medical patients
Developing liaison with appropriate other centres. i.e., the Royal Free and Hammersmith Hospital.
