Job summary

We are looking for a Highly skilled Dietitian with experience of working in the area of nutrition support. You will be working with patients recently admitted to the unit and completing paperwork to support ongoing transition from the rehabilitation unit. You will be carrying out essential assessments for those requiring oral and enteral nutritional support, transitional feeding/modified texture diets, alongside a range of other conditions such as diabetic management.

Main duties of the job

You will be based on the unit where you will have a unique opportunity to work with different disciplines within interdisciplinary rehabilitation. You will need to have good organisational skills and excellent communication skills, be committed to providing a high standard of assessment. You will have the ability to work autonomously but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising closely with therapists, nurses and doctors.

There are strong links with the trust dietetic department for professional supervision.

About us

The Regional Hyper-acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 24 bed neurological unit that offers early intensive multi-disciplinary treatment to adults with severe brain injury leading to complex cognitive, communicative and physical difficulties. This may be due to traumatic brain injury, CVA or other neurological conditions. The Unit has a strong commitment to research and education in the field of neurorehabilitation.

  • Years of experience/neurology experience
