An exciting opportunity has arisen within Evelyn Ward for a Band 6 Team Leader to join our dynamic and friendly team.

Main duties of the job

Are you an experienced Band 5 Trauma Orthopaedic nurse ready for the next steps in your nursing career, or are you an experienced Band 6 nurse seeking a new and exciting opportunity?

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Band 6 to join our existing team and help develop further our service.

The post will be based on the Northwick Park Hospital site and the roles' key focus will be:

  • To act as deputy to the Clinical Nurse Manager as required.
  • To lead a team of nurses and healthcare assistants, supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager in providing a unified approach to high standards of patient care.
  • To create an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and empowers staff to develop high levels of clinical skills and autonomy.
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
  • Being a pro active member of the nursing team attending consultant ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and ward / divisional meetings influencing decisions and the direction of nursing being an advocate for patients and staff.
