Specialty Doctor in Integrated Sexual & Reproductive Health (Brent) Permanentcontract - 10 PAs
Applications are invited for a permanent term post in Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, at Central Middlesex Hospital (1 post), part of the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an ethnically diverse area of the UK with a team renowned for innovation in health care.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the Consultants in the delivery of the highest standards of patient care and service developments. Less than full-time commitments would also be welcomed.
Requirements for the Post
The appointee will be expected to work with the Consultants (Dr Maryam Nasri and Dr John MacSorley), medical, nursing and administrative colleagues to provide Contraceptive and STI management care within an Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Service.
Also he/she will need to:
- Provide safe and effective care in line with departmental and national guidelines
- Help to facilitate the departmental audit programme.
- Teach GP trainees, undergraduate medical students, and nurses in clinic
Main duties of the job
Clinical duties will include:
- Provision of contraceptive and sexual health clinics, including a dedicated Young People's clinic
- Work towards providing a fully integrated sexual health service with an emphasis on contraceptive provision and STI management
Extensive opportunities for further training and development in SRH are available and the appointee will be encouraged, after appropriate experience, to become a Faculty Registered Trainer.

- Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment
- Capacity to apply sound clinical judgement and decision making
Desirable
- Recent experience in the specialty (with the last 12 months)
- Experience in both sexual and reproductive health and GUM
- Evidence of ongoing teaching and training
- Experience with genital skin complaints
- Audit or published articles
