Job summary
LMS Project Manager
This is an exciting time of change to the delivery of our services in the Learning and Organisational Development Team.
The Trust has recently approved investment of a new and/or updated Learning Management System (LMS) to help improve and transform colleagues' experience of learning and development.
The LMS Project Manager will play a lead role in the system implementation, adoption and transition to the new LMS. The role will be critical in driving the project forward, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring completion of technical work to configure the system.
The postholder will work closely with the LMS supplier, our partners in the North West London Acute Provide Collaborative, the Learning and OD training team and key stakeholders across the Trust.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience and knowledge of project management and learning management systems. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to positively influence others, ability to create effective working relationships and work autonomously with minimal guidance are essential.
This position is a fixed term secondment for a period of 12 months.
Main duties of the job
Key areas of responsibility
Project Delivery
- Be accountable for the delivery of the LMS implementation project, work autonomously. Make decisions and problem solve to ensure the success of the project.
- Develop a project implementation plan, outlining milestones, resources, timelines, and interrelationships required for successful implementation of the LMS.
Technical
- To complete the design and delivery of automated functionality with the system - with a focus on reporting and user experience.
- To lead data cleanse activity to ensure accuracy of data.
Stakeholders & Relationship Management
- Manage relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and adoption of the new LMS .
- Provide frequent updates to senior colleagues, including the Executive team, of progress in the implementation project.
Transformation Leadership
- Lead activity to re-design the ways in which the LMS is administered to improve responsiveness and self-service activity in the system.
Compliance
- Work with the Information Governance team to complete relevant data protection assessments to identify and mitigate any privacy risks.
- Work with the Digital Services team to complete relevant assessments to ensure that cyber security is maintained.
Line management
- Provide line management to the Project Implementation Manager and, in collaboration with the Organisational Development Lead, to the Training & Systems Lead and Learning Technology Projects Lead.
