Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Stroke Data Analyst to join the Stroke team at Northwick Park Hospital. The post holder will provide accurate and timely information as a key element in the development and maintenance of a high quality Service within the Trust. Maintain and develop the provision of information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and to assist the Team Lead in assuring that data is accurate and up to date by carrying out regular data quality data checks and data validation exercises.

Main duties of the job

  • To work together with consultants, doctors, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust data is recorded for Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP), Thrombolysis, repatriations, and breaches, and is presented accurately, consistently and in a timely fashion to ensure the ASDM can compile reports for the department, board, Trust Managers, and external bodies as required.
  • Develop and maintain an expertise in Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP), data inputting, analysing, and reporting useful information. Learn and develop skills on the SSNAP Tool and the advanced use of Microsoft Excel and reporting from databases.
  • Manage and oversee non clinical aspects of Stroke Repatriations, escalating issues as necessary to the Clinical Service Delivery Manager
  • To provide Information expertise to the multidisciplinary team, supporting them with high quality data to enable the pursuit of corporate departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in team, professional and personal development activities and promote a commitment to continuous development and improvement.
  • Any other appropriate duties to ensure the development and maintenance of a high quality, responsive and efficient department
