Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a team of Pharmacy Aseptic Services Pharmacist, Technicians, Operators and Assistant Technical Officers who provide a comprehensive, efficient and safe aseptic preparation service to patients within the Trust, in compliance to regulatory requirements.
The post holder will assist in the supervision, training, compounding and support in the preparation of cytotoxic products and parenteral nutrition.

Job responsibilities
-To be part of a team of Pharmacy Aseptic Services Pharmacist, Technicians, Operators and Assistant Technical Officers in providing a comprehensive, efficient and safe aseptic preparation service to patients within the Trust, in compliance to regulatory requirements.-To assist in the supervision, training, compounding and support in the preparation of cytotoxic products and parenteral nutrition.-Monitor resources, activities and adherence to regulatory requirements when supporting the aseptic preparation of cytotoxic products and parenteral nutrition.-To support the Chief Technician, Aseptic Services, and the Aseptic Services Manager, in the development of the Pharmacy Aseptic Service.-To assist in the maintenance of adequate stock levels of raw materials required for aseptic preparation.-To assist in the use of computerised stock control system and maintain accurate stock levels.-To assist in maintaining the integrity of the aseptic environment, in compliance with standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.-To participate in the distribution of aseptically-prepared products to the end users.-To participate in accreditation scheme(s), as deemed appropriate.- To maintain all necessary logs, files and records in accordance to local procedures.

- Good communication skills both verbal and written, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexibly and participate in weekend working, Bank holiday rotas and other rotas as operational duties require.
- Good personal organisation and time management skills.
Desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, methodically and accurately.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
Desirable
- Previous UK hospital pharmacy experience.
- Previous experience of NVQ and e-portfolio, preferably Level 2 Pharmacy Services
