Job summary
Here at Northwick Park Hospital we are looking for a passionate and motivated radiographer that likes to take charge.
You will be the major point of call for the daily smooth running of the department and will be responsible for telling staff where to go (location wise of course).
You will need be calm, have a sense of humour, have resilience, be able to think fast on your feet and pitch in when required for anyone who needs help.
You need to be fantastic with people.
Main duties of the job
- To provide effective leadership and operational management of the day to day running of the radiology department ensuring high standards of care for all patients.
- To be responsible for delegated budgetary control and to use e-procurement as directed by the clinical lead and in line with cost improvement programmes.
- To be responsible for co-ordinating patient care, the management of resources and performance of staff on a daily basis
- To be responsible for safe working in the department on a daily basis, managing risk and monitoring of local and national policies and quality care indicators. To be responsible for the cleanliness of the department and for ensuring infection control policies and procedures are followed.
- To be responsible for ensuring that all staff are customer/patient focused and are courteous, pleasant, and helpful at all times.
- To work within relevant professional code of conduct and within the scope of professional conduct
- effective role model in demonstrating the behaviours expected from all the staff regarding displaying excellent interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism.
