Job summary

An exciting opportunity has come up in Northwick Park Intensive care/Enhanced Care Unit CMH , for Health Care assistants who will assist the Critical Care Team in providing good care and a quality service to Critically ill patients.

We need you to work with us and to help us provide the best care possible to our patients. Your role will involve supporting and assisting the team to deliver safe patient care , assisting and supporting the preparation of equipment and procedures and maintaining a safe environment within Critical care. Other responsibilities will include supporting patient's with basic care , maintaining stock levels , upkeeping the environment and decontaminating equipment within the clinical area to assist the Trist in reducing healthcare associated infections.

Critical Care looks after some of the sickest patients in the hospital, and as such, you must be able to work with AGPs / COVID positive patients. You may also be required to work cross site, when the service needs require it.The post requires flexible working/

You will need to have :

Excellent communication skills

A friendly , open , empathetic and compassionate communication style

A strong ability to engage with patients, visitors and colleagues

The ability to work well in a team.

Main duties of the job

Based within the London North West Healthcare Trust, this post will beprimarily concerned with:

Assisting the team in providing a quality service to patientsAssisting to deliver safe patient care

Supporting and assisting with the preparation of equipment and procedureswithin the Intensive Care Unit/Enhanced Care unit

Maintaining a Clean and Tidy environmentAssisting with the Friends and Family Feedback
