Dermatology is an exciting area to work in. This area requires someone who is dynamic and forward thinking. There is so much to get involved and learn from very experienced and specialist consultants and specialist nurses across the globe. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to embark on a new journey in dermatology. In addition, you will provide skin health education and awareness and supporting patients who will be going through treatment.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy Outpatient Dermatology Department as a Specialist Nurse.You will be working directly with our Dermatology Consultants , dermatology specialist nursing colleagues and admin staff. You will be supported by our Lead nurse and Matron.
In our clinic we administer daily treatments, light therapy, we have nurse led clinics, biologics and MOHS surgery. You will also be supporting patients following diagnosis of skin cancer, who may require further intervention.
You must have the ability to work effectively as a team leader. You will be expected to assess, plan and implement treatments for patients with dermatological disorders, in addition to providing high quality care.There is an opportunity to develop advanced skills in surgical dermatology performing diagnostic biopsies of suspected skin cancers, skills which are imperative to the management of our 2ww rapid access clinic for suspected cancersWe are committed to staff development and will also support your personal development.
