Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) is looking for a high calibre individual on a fixed term contract or secondment basis for one year. This is an exciting leadership role as an Associate Director for Contracts Intelligence within Digital Services, working in collaboration with BI and Finance functions.

The role will build on initial work that has begun on bringing income reporting fully in-house utilising CIVICA SLAM and SUS. Working closely as a senior manager with finance, information and operational teams to support the delivery of service & financial objectives.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient, high quality and comprehensive income reporting service. This requires the production of information upon which to monitor and bill for the Trusts £875m clinical income target. This includes the provision of timely, appropriate advice and recommendations to divisions on the activity upon which reported income is based.

The work is highly complex and demanding. It frequently requires working under pressure to challenging deadlines and responding to the various needs of the organisation including Director level queries.

This will require a high-level understanding of the Trust's income planning assumptions and a detailed understanding of the Trust's Acute Commissioning Contracts along with an equivalent knowledge of the NHS Payment Scheme (NHSPS).

To lead and develop the process of reporting Trust income, will involve the post holder to gather and understand highly complex data and their sources and using extensive data manipulation skills to report in a standardised format.

Provide detailed reports on highly complex, often contentious information to Heads of Finance, Directors and the Board and advising them on underpinning financial issues.

Make effective judgment based on highly complex facts demonstrated through assessment of financial analysis and risk where other people's opinions may conflict.
