Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian with a passion for gastroenterology to work in St Marks Hospital. St Mark's is a national centre for intestinal failure and gastroenterology and the dietitians are an established and valued part of the MDT. You will be based at Central Middlesex Hospital and join a supportive, cohesive dietetic team consisting of a Consultant Dietitian, 5 other band 7 and 1 band 6 dietitian.

Main duties of the job

The post will cover a caseload of patients on the inpatient colorectal surgery & intestinal rehabilitation wards and a weekly multidisciplinary nutrition outpatient clinic. You will also work within the hospital's parenteral nutrition team contributing to decisions about the nutritional care of complex cases. Regular evidence-based groups and breakfast clubs support the development of clinical skills and audit and service development is strongly encouraged. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in developing the service both clinically and strategically and supervise junior staff. Opportunities for education and training at local, national and international are also available.

The ideal candidate would have strong gastroenterology and parenteral nutritionexperience. We would be looking for someone with a proactive approach, good time management skills and a true team player.
