Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual used to working with multi-agencies and multi-disciplinary teams. The post holder will need the combined skills of project management , data analytical skills and be able to communicate effectively with clinical team members at all levels. The programme workload will be diverse with rapid improvement timelines to support both financial achievement of Commissioning for Quality Improvement and Innovation (CQUIN) programmes and Trust key Flow programmes.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have specific remit for the programme management of Commissioning Quality Improvement and Innovation (CQUIN) actively seek opportunities for innovative improvement projects and transformation programmes aligned to redesign of Trust flow programmes. Working with key stakeholders across all sites to promote the uptake and delivery of such projects. You will be integral to facilitating and overseeing improvement programmes and projects, working with staff to identify new opportunities, develop pilots, and provide targeted support to scale up and embed impact. This will include taking a lead role in prioritised improvement projects, and working closely with the Associate Director for CQUIN, Transformation and Research, on high priority analyses and communications.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of transformation and improvement projects, specific to CQUIN programmes and supporting the realisation of significant strategic objectives

  • Work with the transformation team and stakeholders across the trust in identifying opportunities to use information to support the delivery of CQUIN targets and improvement of health care services.

  • Build strong relationships and rapidly become seen as a trusted advisor from an improvement point of view for stakeholders including Clinicians, Colleagues, Team Leaders, and Managers

  • Planning and organisation of assigned projects, formulating and making recommendations as to the adjustment of plans or strategies on behalf of the transformation team

  • Support the overall transformation agenda as required including supporting events such as rapid improvement, pathway mapping, facilitating workshops, and any other duties deemed within the scope of this role

  • Produce clear visual materials, programme documentation, and data for use in reports, local briefings, workshops and meetings for both internal and external audiences

  • Work in partnership with the Transformation and Business Intelligence Teams to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient information service supporting Transformation objectives through delivery of analysis and insight.

  • Act as subject matter expert in analytical, statistical and modelling techniques and their application to support the delivery of service improvements and to support others to develop their understanding and knowledge.

  • Work with clinicians and other stakeholders to communicate clearly complex data and information issues to a non-information specialist audience, including external stakeholders

  • Analyse data that is sent from external sources and interpret this clearly and in a timely manner

  • Perform interrogation and analysis on a range of data sets, using BI products as appropriate, in order to deliver insight and intelligence to partners within the transformation team.

  • Support specification of KPIs for transformation projects and establishment of their automated reporting processes through the ICS project tracking software (TrakIt)

  • Support management, design and creation of dashboards, queries and reports using ICS project tracking software (TrakIt)

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

  • Resolve and translate highly complex information problems and provide expert guidance when required for and between stakeholders, the transformation team and also to within the Information Reporting team

  • Working with the analytics/intelligence colleagues across the trust, design dashboards and reports to meet the needs of the Transformation programme and the wider Trust which use the best data sources available and using benchmarks where available

  • Working with the analytics/intelligence colleagues across the trust respond to transformation programme requests for information analysis, interrogating databases, manipulating and presenting data to meet customer requirements, and building new analytical tools, ensuring confidentiality of patient information

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and interpret them into technical specifications for working with the analytics/intelligence colleagues across the trust, Information Reporting team and the Business Intelligence Development team

  • Act as subject matter expert in a range of NHS data sets as collected through different health care provider settings and to support the teams in developing their understanding and knowledge.

  • Interpret findings from data reports that have been designed to support service improvements and report these back in a clear, concise and understandable way
