Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 1 year fixed term Senior Finance Manager role within our Trust.
Working with the Head of Finance, you will provide high quality financial management service, information and insights in order for the Trust to meet its goals. You will support with financial and economic appraisals of complex and high value business cases, budget setting, forecasting and staff management.
Applicants will be highly motivated CCAB or CIMA qualified accountants, with experience of working in finance. Applicants may not be currently working in the NHS but must share our desire and passion to make a real service impact for our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will support the divisions with a high quality comprehensive financial advisory service. Advising and influencing Divisional management teams, covering large and complex budgets. The role will require you to convey complex financial information to budget managers, lead the preparation of month end accounts for the division and support delivery of annual budget setting, forecasting and commenting on key income and expenditure trends.A key aspect to the role will be to ensure the Divisions are fully aware of all aspects of financial control, and ensuring that the Division's financial records represent a true and fair view and meet financial timescales and requirements of the Trust's corporate reporting system and external statutory returns.Candidates must hold a CCAB recognised qualification (or equivalent) and will have a high level of I.T literacy and a good knowledge of computerised financial information systems ideally within a large organisation. Candidates must have the ability to analyse and interpret a large amount of varied financial data and information. You should be able to work on your own initiative when required, but also be a team player with excellent communication skills.
