Job summary

The NWL acute provider collaborative is made up from:
- London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust
- Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
- The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Together, and for the first time, we have agreed an ambitious collaborative business plan which has prioritised initiatives across quality, people, finance and performance, and digital and infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity to support these priorities and closer ways of working across the acute provider collaborative.
Main duties of the job
This role has been created to lead the day-to-day coordination and implementation of this business plan, including on-going engagement with the project teams and other stakeholders impacted by it. Responsibilities of this role include:
- Coordinating the implementation of the business plan programme, such as ensuring relevant goals and supported within each organisation, coordinating overall updates, identifying and escalating interdependencies and risks between areas, and updating the Acute Provider Collaborative Management Board, Joint Executive Group, and Board on progress and changes required
- Providing specialist expertise into developing high quality collaborative project governance building on existing infrastructure including the online benefit/project tracker "TrakIt", with support including project mandates/charters, benefit realisation plans, timelines, risk logs, highlight reports and project closure reports, along with other issues as required
- Ensuring effective governance systems and participation including supporting the operation of the Acute Provider Collaborative Management Board and supporting workstreams
- Leading implementation of specific collaborative strategic projects, including financial management of the project, as required
- Providing strategic perspectives on longer term development of improved ways of collaborative working including programme tracking and delivery
About us
The post holder is expected to operate at a senior level across four organisations, interpreting complex information and make presentations to the Board, sub-committees and large groups of senior staff. They must form highly effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues providing expert knowledge and advice on strategic and financial management within the context of high-quality service delivery.
The post holder will work closely with and support the senior leaders across all organisations. They must have the skills and capabilities to navigate the complexity of working across multiple organisations, building trust and effective working relationships, and simultaneously supporting and challenging stakeholders on their delivery of collaborative priorities. As part of this collaborative working, they will need to balance and manage input and direction from numerous workstreams, SROs and Directors of Transformation. They will play an important role enabling closer collaboration between and across the north west London acute provider collaborative and with other integrated care system partners, for example contributing to development of joint strategic initiatives.
