Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Dietitian with experience in acute Dietetics who wants to develop their clinical skills to cover 6 months of maternity cover . The post holder will be based at Ealing Hospital, a busy friendly general hospital situated in West London with a diverse patient population. We are looking for someone with strong communication, organizational, team working skills and a proactive approach. You will be responsible for delivery of a high quality, evidence based clinical service and will receive regular clinical supervision from a Band 7 Dietitian to support your ongoing development.
Main duties of the job
The Dietitian works as an autonomous practitioner to provide expert nutrition advice to patients, carers and other health professionals. . The post holder will actively participate in the development of dietetic service policies, procedures and standards and regularly undertake audit.
- To deliver and evaluate a clinical dietetic service to adult in-patients
- To provide theoretical and practical training, teaching and support for dietitians, student dietitians, medical and nursing staff, and allied health professionals in the specialist dietetic area
- To ensure work is in line with departmental, Trust and National Dietetic standards
- To participate in the organisation and development of the dietetic team.
