Acute Medicine Consultant (with opportunity for Deputy Clinical Director role)
LNWH NHS Trust is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and passionate Consultants in Acute Medicine to our dynamic and innovative team. The appointee should have experience in Acute/General Medicine and are required to be on the Specialist Register (AIM or GIM) within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Candidates who are interested in sessions in other Medical Specialties are also encouraged.
This is a full-time 10 PA post, however applications from candidates wishing to work less than full time are also welcomed. One post will be based predominantly at Ealing hospital and up to 4 WTE posts will be based mainly at Northwick Park, with cross site working as part of the role. Participation in HDU will be optional dependent on previous experience and competencies.
In addition there is an opportunity for the right candidate to simultaneously apply for the role of Deputy Clinical Director (two posts available) This post is an 10.5 PA contract with 1.5 PAs allocated to the role (by decreasing the DCC by 1 PA). This would be a two year tenure with the successful candidate reverting to a 10 PA contact after this date.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to participate fully in the provision of acute medicine services, including clinical governance, service development, teaching and research.
