Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance NHS Trust (EMAS) are pleased to be advertising for Newly Qualified Paramedics (NQPs) across all our Northamptonshire region. This advert is open to graduates who have completed a HCPC approved Paramedic programme and have successfully gained their HCPC registration.

Main duties of the job

EMAS has an established NQP programme and a dynamic and diverse group of NQPs within the Trust.

EMAS follow the national framework in relation to NQP development and as a NQP you will follow a 24-month pathway upon commencing employment. During the NQP period you will benefit from designated preceptorship, clinical reviews and developmental opportunities.

You will be required to complete a portfolio of development and evidence against the national 'Consolidation of Learning Outcomes'.

NQP Opportunities

As an NQP at EMAS you will have an opportunity to work with experienced Paramedics, Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants. After 12 months you will complete Practice Educator development and support students. At 12 months, post qualifying you will also be supported to work as a Paramedic on a solo response basis.
