Job summary

We are advertising a part time Urgent Dispatch Coordinator position within Bracebridge Health (Lincoln) Emergency Operations Centre. The working pattern is Monday, Thursday & Friday 10:00 until 18:00.

You will be working on your own and as part of a wider team of A&E dispatchers, to ensure best resource is dispatched to the patient for transportation.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the role include:

- Dispatching of urgent operational resources to non-emergency bookings received from medical professionals.

- Negotiating work load & rationalise decision making, ensuring maximum usage of resources within shift time to allow patients to be collected within set time frames.

- Communicating with operational resources, working within a busy and high pressured environment to achieve positive results and response times.

  • Maintains an acceptable level of attendance over previous 12 months
  • Able to understand statistical information
  • Good knowledge control room systems and procedures
  • Good geographical knowledge of EMAS and surrounding districts and basic understanding of dispatch
  • Capable of problem solving on own initiative & effective demonstrable organisation skills

Desirable

  • Experience of managing the Hems, Urgent or CFR Desk.
  • Knowledge of dispatch protocols.
