Job summary

The post holder will carry out driving and workshop cleaning duties and will be based at the Fleet Workshop at Northampton.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will collect and deliver vehicles to and from fleet workshops and outside repairers/bodyshops throughout the East Midlands and on occasion repairers further a field. The post holder will support operations and PTS in movements of ambulances.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the workshop is kept tidy, empty bins and ensure scrap metal is put in the skip, the post holder will be required to lift and carry parts in and out of vans and to and from vans to stations, sweep the workshop and any other house keeping tasks necessary to support the smooth running of the workshop.
