Job summary

To work as part of a Trust-wide team under the direction of the leads for Mandatory and Statutory Training tutors and the Associate Director of Education & Development. To design, deliver and evaluate training programmes and learning provision for core Trust training and external partners.

To support staff in training and development activities with a particular focus on the delivery of mandatory training (e.g. Resuscitation PSTS - Promoting Safe and Therapeutic Services, including physical and clinical skills, and facilitate learning and undertake assessment of competence. The post holder's job plan will be made up of 80% direct teaching contact and 20% development/administration time.

The post holder will already be working/have worked in a clinical post and be committed to working with the Education & Development department to provide training for staff across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an highly motivated and experienced qualified nurses (RMN/ RNLD) with a commitment to achieving the highest quality care through the provision of training and education of Trust staff, to join our team of Learning and Development Advisors within the Education and Development Department.

As a Learning and Development Advisor you will be involved in the delivery of a portfolio of training programmes that includes Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, and the Promotion of Safe and Therapeutic Services, which will require you to conduct competency based assessments on those you teach. You will also be involved in the evaluation and development of these and new programmes which will include the development of e-learning and supporting the Trust' ever increasing workforce of apprentices.
