Job summary
National and Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (N&S CAMHS) are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and skilled band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologists / Family Therapists / Clinical Nurse Specialists to join the Outpatient team at the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders (MCCAED). The post holder will work as part of a dynamic MDT team providing assessment, formulation and treatment to young people with eating disorders, and their families.
This post will provide you with the opportunity to work in an internationally recognised service that developed current NICE recommended eating disorder focused family therapy.
Main duties of the job
The post-holders will provide clinical services including assessment, treatment, monitoring of outcomes and the provision of clinical supervision, consultation and training. The post holders will also contribute to service evaluation, research and policy development. There are many opportunities available within the service in relation to continued professional development.
We particularly welcome applications from Black and Ethnic Minority candidates as they are currently under-represented within the team at this level.
Key responsibilities:o Assessment and treatment of young people with eating disorders.o Assessment and treatment of common comorbidities including depression, anxiety, self-harm and OCD.o Contribution to audit and research.o Provision of clinical supervision, consultation or training to other professionals as appropriate.

(Due to move to the Pears Maudsley Children and Young People (PMCYP) at the Maudsley Hospital in early 2026)
