Job summary
The Clinical Service Lead is responsible for the day to day delivery of First for Mental Health services with direct line management for the service.They ensure there is day to day focus on strong clinical and operational, outcomes in an integrated way. They will play a crucial role in offeringoperational and clinical input to this important programme while continuing to support a busy quality agenda. The postholder will take a lead insupporting the Head of Service in monitoring the delivery of high-quality care across the First for Mental Health NHS 111 and MPS Section-136Service Lines across the South London geographical area. The post holder will deputies for the Head of Service when required and also be a:o highly visible and proactive leader acting as a clinical resource and ensuring the sustained delivery of high standards of careo responsible for exploring current practice, identifying areas for development, and planning the appropriate change using currentevidence to evaluate outcomeso responsible for the quality of the patient care and lead on facilitating changes which improve the patient experienceo leader who works in partnership with other Trusts in the SLP and related crisis serviceso The post holder will be required to take up on Manager on call duties on rota basis. This involves providing support and expert advice tothe inpatient services out of hours.
Main duties of the job
To be a highly visible, accessible, and proactive manager and leader for the First for Mental Health 111 press 2 service and 136 service.
To support the development of a culture that promotes leadership through coaching and Quality improvement
To lead on recruiting, motivating, training, developing and retraining appropriate staff enabling them to have the skills, experience and discretion tofunction effectively in their roles
Provide demonstrate assurance that staff have the appropriate skills and competences to deliver high quality care
To demonstrate clinical competence and role model effective clinical care delivery
To represent the service and deputies for the Head of Service where appropriate
