Job summary

Do you have good interpersonal and communication skills and a keenness to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for people with eating disorders? Would you like to expand your skills and knowledge in working in our service?

We are looking for someone to assist the Eating Disorder Outpatient team in providing a service for individuals who have a diagnosed eating disorder. And assist in clinically related administration, team support, and supporting patients and carers in their recovery.

Main duties of the job

To assist the Eating Disorder Outpatient team in providing a service for individuals who have a diagnosed eating disorder.

To assist in clinically related administration, team support, and supporting patients and carers in their recovery.

To research what support is available in local areas and to build relationships within organisations outside of the Trust .

To work following clinical guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, while closely supervised and regularly seeking help from clinical/professional supervisor or manager.

  • Good standard of education, and able to evidence an interest in pursuing a future career as an allied health professional or nurse practitioner. (A/I).
  • Able to follow directions for dealing with outside agencies and feedback any issues in a timely manner

  • Experience of working in a mental health or Eating Disorder setting

  • To demonstrate a caring, compassionate & empathic AND professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, including a good/high standard of written documentation

  • An ability to follow a detailed treatment plan accurately
