Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist at Acorn Lodge Children's Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to gain CAMHs experience at a national specialist unit and the successful candidate will be able to acquire a whole range of skills and knowledge that are specific to the service but also transferable to other settings.

The unit is currently operating as a day patient service for children aged 12 and under on the Bethlem Royal Hospital site; caring for some of South London's most vulnerable population. The service has future plans to expand to offer an inpatient service to children.

Our Occupational Therapy (OT) staff are fully integrated members of the ward team and post holders are expected to work 9-5 Monday to Friday currently with the possibility of this changing as we transition to an inpatient service.

This position would be a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a vision to develop their career and clinical expertise within a specialist environment. Due to the unit continuing to develop as a service there will be lots of time and involvement in expanding this and applying your expertise.
