We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and innovative neurodevelopmental practitioners to work within the Croydon locality Assessment and Liaison and Community Mental Health Teams .
The post holder will undertake specialist clinical assessments and support the development of a stepped-care approach to supporting adults with neurodevelopmental disorders with a view to improving access, experience and outcomes for this population.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- To provide specialist interventions according to discipline including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
- To offer expert consultation and advice to A&L team members in Neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities.
- To develop and implement a stepped care pathway for people presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
- To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate.
- To promote service evaluation, audit and research.
- To scope clinical gaps for people with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
- To work as an autonomous professional within registration body guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment an discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor
- To offer training to mainstream services.
There are great opportunities for service development, teaching, training and the supervision of others within this role. The service also offers opportunities to undertake research. A wide range of CPD opportunities are available and the post holder will be supported to develop skills in their areas of interest. Appropriate training and supervision will be provided.
