Specialty Doctor in CAMHS (10 PAs - full time) - 1 vacancy

CAMHS Directorate

We are looking for a committed Specialty Doctor to join the highly motivated and dynamic team of clinicians in Lambeth CAMHS. Both these positions are full time for 1 year, and offer an excellent opportunity to gain additional community CAMHS experience, to inform future career choices and enhance your CV. The CAMHS Directorate of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is one of the most comprehensive mental health service for children and young people in the country.

Main duties of the job

The post will work across the generic CAMHS and ADHD teams to attend to children and young people up to the age of 18 years who present with a range of significant mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties. The main team base is located at William Geoffrey House, 35 Black Prince Road, Kennington. The roles currently involve some remote working in line with current NHS guidelines.

Consultant supervision takes place on a weekly basis. There are excellent opportunities for professional development including management, training, research and audit experience. There is also opportunity for teaching locally within the service to multi-disciplinary and medical colleagues.

Lambeth CAMHS is made up of six teams including the Tier 3 Child and Adolescent Community Service (River), Early Intervention CAMHS (Spring), Community Crisis Team (Rapids), Children Looked After Mental Health Service (CLAMHS), the CAMHS Youth Offending Team (CAMHS-YOS), and the Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS). The teams are multidisciplinary and include a wide range of experienced staff.
