Job summary

This position is split between two Croydon Acute wards at the Bethlem Royal Hospital. Gresham Ward 2 is part of Bethlem Royal Hospital. We offer services for men, aged 18-65, who have acute mental illness and require 24 hour hospital care. Acute illnesses start quickly and have distressing symptoms.We provide care for people who live in the London Borough of Croydon.We offer psychiatric assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps to reduce the risk to self and others.Our service brings together teams of health and social care professionals, including nurses, social workers and psychiatrists. Fitzmary 1 ward is a female only inpatient units. We offer a comprehensive assessment, care and treatment service. Our treatment programme is aligned with the Recovery model and our inpatient staff work closely with our community services to ensure our patients receive the best care both during and after discharge.

  • Supporting the ward manager and ward consultant

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and proficient team administrator.

The successful applicant will possess robust organisational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will also be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook, Word and Excel. The post holder will be comfortable with IT and be keen to learn new software packages and processes.This is a challenging role working within a busy ward environment and it is therefore important that you are enthusiastic, motivated and able to work under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
