Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a High Intensity User (HIU) service as an assistant psychologist within Lewisham Community Mental Health Services.
The service offers time limited session to co create management plans that allows services to better understand the needs of our SU when in distress or experience crisis. We work specifically with those SU who a history of frequently using acute and crisis services. These service user typically present with challenging and complex needs, with a range of diagnosis and an increased risk of harm to self and others.
This role is predominately onsite, based at Lewisham CMHT's as well as working across adult mental health services in Lewisham.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a small team allocated to a CMHT. You role will include assisting the HIU service in the delivery of a specialist applied psychology. You will work with service users who present in crisis with acute risks in Lewisham, by delievring high levels assessment, forumalation to guide psychological informed intervetions.
An important part of the role will be using service use data to support in the identification of HIU through the use of service data. This will also include assisting in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

- A First-class or Upper-second-class Bachelors degree with Honours in Psychology (or related behavioural science) that is accredited by the British Psychological Society and confers the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society
- Masters level qualification in applied psychology (A/I)

- Relevant specialist training in relation to working with personality disorder

- Sufficient post-graduate experience of psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs who present in crisis with acute risks
