The CUES team and Southwark CAMHS Early Help Team are looking for an enthusiastic and highly engaging Clinical Psychologist/CBT Therapist for a new and exciting split post between local and National and Specialist CAMHS Services. The role will be placed 0.5 in the CUES Team, and 0.5 in Southwark CAMHS Early Help Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the CUES team at an exciting time. We are further expanding our clinical delivery and embarking on a Randomised Controlled Trial of our newly developed online programme for primary schools. The post holder will be involved in the exciting roll out of a group programme developed by CUES for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Southwark CAMHS Early Help Team is thriving multi-disciplinary team, you will work with a caseload of children and young people to offer comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment, in close collaboration with their families and professional networks.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver a small group intervention in clinical settings across 2 local CAMHS boroughs for children with ASD and their families. They will also have the opportunity to be involved in developing the group for children presenting with anxiety and related difficulties and will assist in ongoing continuous evaluation of session content and material.
For Southwark CAMHS, you will carry a diverse caseload, over a range of ages and clinical presentations, with opportunities for focusing on areas of clinical interest and specialty. You will be responsible for your own clinical caseload and you will be involved in assessments, care planning and offering interventions for children and adolescents with support from the multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology or be a CBT Therapist who is eligible for a BABCP accredited qualification in CBT. They will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure. Further information about the Disclosure scheme can be found at www.disclosure.gov.uk

CUES is an innovative prevention and early intervention team - who have created programmes rooted in evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to be delivered across both school and clinical settings. We are a small, hard-working team with big ambitions - providing accessible interventions and committed to improving the outcomes of children and young people in our local communities.
The programme has been developed to promote mental health and improve emotional wellbeing in primary aged children. The team are excited to be conducting a randomised controlled trial of their newly developed digital programme for schools starting this Autumn.
Southwark Early Help CAMHS Team is a dynamic multi-disciplinary CAMHS Team, offering targeted support in partnership with Southwark Council's Family Early Help Service. CAMHS Early Help is a close and supportive team, representing a wide range of professional and clinical training and experience.
The Southwark Family Early Help Service has been designed by Southwark Children's Services to provide early intervention for children and families for 0-18 years in home, school and community settings. The team is based across Local Authority sites in either Peckham, Camberwell, or Bermondsey, and at Southwark CAMHS' base at the Maudsley Hospital.

- Carry out the care plan using evidence-based models of psychological and psychotherapeutic interventions .
- Participate and lead in joint complex assessments with other disciplines and other agencies and provide reports for referrers, families and other agencies as required, including 'witness of fact' court reports where appropriate.
- Assess safeguarding issues for each case and refer concerns to Child Protection teams.
