Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, inspiring CNS for Norbury Ward, someone who is enthusiastic, innovative and wants to work in a service that is committed to providing individualized evidenced based care.
The position is situated in River House, Bethlem Royal - an acute medium secure unit run by the Croydon Adult and Behavioural and Developmental Psychiatry Operations Directorate within South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM).
The pathway includes a range of medium secure beds for both male and female patients, an offender personality disorder unit, a low secure unit, an open rehabilitation ward, and several community forensic teams. The individual services support each other and meet regularly to plan care transition. We accept admissions from prison and high security. Service users receive treatment and support, to enable them to move on to rehabilitation wards, to lower levels of security, or directly to the community.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will assist the Ward Manager in leading the dedicated multi-professional team in providing care for service users. The candidate will need to be passionate about high quality patient care and have experience in leadership. The post holder will be a 'self-starter' and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a multi professional team.
