About the team:

The Lewisham Forensic Community Team, is a busy integrated community team within Lewisham. The team consists of social workers, Nurses, Psychologist and Drs. We provide care and treatment for service users with forensic history.

In keeping with our obligations under the new Coronavirus Regulations 2021 in relation to Care Home visits, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of full vaccination status againstCovid-19

Main duties of the job

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in the Lewisham Community Forensic Mental Health Team. We are looking to find a dynamic, creative, forward thinking and hard-working nurse to work within our friendly team.

The Post Holder will work as a member of a borough based Forensic Community Team and will manage a reasonable caseload of clients with offending history and mental health problems.

The post holder will aim to provide a flexible, responsive and pro-active programme of care and support for the service users and their carers. you will be required to develop and maintain links across a wide variety of statutory and non statutory organisations such as Probation, MAPPA, Jigsaw, Hostels and other voluntary and non voluntary services. You will also be involved in specialist mental health assessments and the application of evidence based psychosocial interventions.

About the location:

The team is based at Kirkdale Resource Centre, 200 Kirkdale, Sydenham, London SE26 4NL

Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth.
