Job summary

To support the Deputy Chief Nurse, Professional Practice and Standards and Head of Quality to drive the programme for Service Quality Reviews across the Trust ensuring that the delivery of consistently high-quality care is consistent with the CQC fundamental standards, Safeguarding principles, trust values and the Trust strategic ambitions.

To collaborate and support the Quality team regarding the service quality review programme.

The post holder will provide senior nursing professional advice and guidance on all aspects of the Service Quality Review agenda to the Deputy Chief Nurse and Chief Nurse Team.

The post holder will be responsible for the undertaking 2-3 service quality reviews per week across the organisation, Inpatient and community services developing systems and processes as required.

The position holder would be expected to provide the outcome and recommendations of the service quality reviews to the Trust Policy Leads and to input into the recommendations and attend the Clinical Policy Working Group.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking and writing Service Quality Review reports for the Chief Nurse, Executive Leadership Team, Quality Committee and Trust Board.

The postholder will be expected to work autonomously as an independent practitioner making key decisions and to make clinical judgements involving highly complex facts or situations, which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.

Main duties of the job

1 Key Duties - Service Quality Reviews
